The Sahara

The 2^nd largest desert in the world is the Sahara desert and also considered the hottest desert in the world.It spreads most of Northern Africa more than 9,000,000 sq. kilometers and considered as big as the European continent.

Many type of languages are used by the people of this desert but the most widely used language is Arabic.The Berber people can see Along Western Egypt to Morocco.

The most interesting thing about this desert is its width which is about 5,000 kilometers and 2,000 kilometers in length like the United States.The Sahara desert is divided in to sections by the border the majority area contains the mountains and there are two types of mountain in Sahara such asTibesti Mountains and Air Mountains.

Emi Koussi is the tallest mountain among all the Tibesti Mountains which is about 11,250 feet.The Sahara desert starting to grow every year 28 miles to the south on average this is called Desertification and mainly affected by global warming.

People mostly think that Sahara desert is the sea of sand but it is only 25 percent sandy.It is mainly consist of Rocky Mountains, parched plateaus and gravelly plains.The climate of the Sahara desert is subtropical and dry.

The best time for the tourist is February to early April and October to November the season of winter is very sunny but at night temperature can goes below zero degree Celsius.So the best time to go Sahara during the summer season.
